Pick the joke
- Food: the hot dog hat, the banana hat or the full banana suit
- Sports: the boxer with robe and gloves, or the basketball player with a ball in its paws
- Seafood: the lobster, for small dogs
Hats are the easiest start for a dog who has never worn a costume. Full suits get the bigger reaction.
Sizing
Measure back length, from the base of the collar to the base of the tail, and chest girth, around the widest part of the rib cage. Each product page lists its sizes. Between sizes, pick the larger one.
Keeping it safe and fun
Try the costume on for a few minutes before Halloween, with treats. Your dog should be able to walk, sit, see and breathe normally. Stay with your dog while it is on, and take it off if they freeze or try to hide.
